My Bio

My name is Ed.
I was born and raised in the Bay Area.
I learned to play acoustic guitar when I was 10, and electric guitar when I was 12.
My favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and U2.
In high school, I was in the drama club, and was in the school production of Grease.
My favorite activities are biking, camping, and playing video games.

I went to grade school in El Cerrito, California, and high school in Berkeley.
I studied 2 years at Laney College, and then transferred to UC Berkeley.
I began majoring in Economics, and had a project gathering data about the growth of the tech industry.
My project used Python to scrape web data using BeautifiulSoup, where I discovered that I enjoyed coding.
I also took a web development class, and learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Barista, The Daily Grind (2015-2017)

Greeted customers and managed cash register. Prepared and served coffee drinks and pastries. Worked effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Lifeguard, City Pool (2016-2018)

Ensured pool safety and responded to emergencies. Maintained pool area cleanliness and organization. Developed strong communication and teamwork skills.

Tutor, University Learning Center (2018-2020)

Tutored students in math and science subjects. Created and implemented individualized learning plans. Developed strong patience and communication skills.
Research Assistant, University Lab (2019-2021)

Assisted professors with research projects and experiments. Collected and analyzed data, and presented findings. Developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Marketing Intern, Local Business (2020-2022)

Assisted with social media management and content creation. Developed and implemented marketing campaigns. Analyzed campaign results and made data-driven decisions.
